okay well my boyfriends friend is 21 and she got me birth control idk how she got it or from where, but is it safe if i take it ? i didnt go to a clinic or anything? im just kinda scared. also what can be the side effects? im 15, please no rude comments. i know im young

You should probably get your own birth control, but birth control is safe and the most common side effects tend to be good ones.  Like clear skin

your right to be concerned, your a very sensible girl by the sound of it. if you are truly ready to have s*x then get your own , if its the pill your talking about you need to have it under medical supervision because of side effects. please please remember,,pregnancy is not the only thing you can catch from s*x,,,use a condom! if your not ready then he will wait if he loves you, don't rush into something so huge! good luck!

The short answer is no, do not take it. We have no idea if it is safe, and since you are asking neither do you.

You should always consult a dr first. Unless you have a hormonal imbalance or bad periods, a dr likely would not prescribe for you, and for good reason.

Use a condom or abstain.

I WOULD NOT take it...

These are pills that were not specifically perscribed for you and thats not safe..

There can be all kinds of horrible effects if these are the wrong ones for you...

Based on your previous heath and family health is how you get the right ones for you...

PLEASE go to planned parenthood and get them you can get 3 months with no exam there and you don't need your parents..

It is NOT a good idea to take those...

I think you should not use any drugs without doctor's approval. The drugs have side effects and some people are allergic to certain drugs. Using drugs that are NOT prescribed to you is illegal

Go see a doctor and ask for prescription for birth control if you really want to use birth control at this age. The doctor will prescribe what is right for and you will be safe.

I would not take any medicine if you don't know where it came from. You don't even know for sure that it IS birth control. Plus there is no telling what the side effects could be if you haven't been examined by a doctor. Don't do it. It would be safer to use a condom.

You shouldnt take it but we cant tell you what to do   Family Planning's give u the birth control they think is right for your body by asking you health questions and maybe an exam  So be on the safe side   Go to a family planning or planned parent hood which ever is near by and let them give it to you  they know what they r doing and they will give u a pill thats right for you
