  1. Uh..like her grandson.

  2. She'll love the kid to death. It's you who took her son from her that she doesn't like, or get along with.

  3. She may hate you, but she will love her grandson....

  4. You can never tell for sure, but usually a baby has a way of bringing people together.  Even if she's not crazy about you, the odds are that she'll be absolutely nuts about her grandson.  Try to build on that and find a way to bridge the gap between you -- it'll be better for all of you but especially for the baby.

  5. she will prob love him jus as much because its his son 2! lol but she may b a lil bitter toward u cuz she might not want u 2 have a child wit her son

    hope all works out

    god bless

    brittni

  6. I have the same problem and having my son just made it worse. She treats my son like he is terrible and doesnt even let him touch her so that was my last straw I no longer see her. I will not let someone treat my son this way.

  7. Sometimes, having something in common brings people together in ways we never thought possible.  Hopefully, this will happen to you and your boyfriend's mother.

My advice is to appreciate her in her new role as grandmother, but to try not to rely on her as a caregiver.  If she assumes even a part time role as caregiver, you two will buck heads over how to raise your son, and that duty belongs to you and your boyfriend.

She will of course have advice, and try to be tactful and grateful in receiving her advice.  Acknowledge good advice and use it if you see fit, but don't be afraid to do what you think is right.

Most of all, she will be thrilled with her grandson, and I'm sure she will be glad to have the opportunity to get closer to you.

  8. my husbands mom hated me after we got married and even cut my hubb off completely but after we got pregnant everything got a lot better and we get along a lot better now. and she absolutely  loves our little girl, she spoils her just like a grandma should.

so dont worry,, babies make everything better....for the most part..

good luck with the mom-ster in law (well kinda)
