My boyfriends mother hates me?

i'm fifteen and i've been dating my boyfriend for a year and 5 months. i've met his parents many times, and his dad and i get along fine, but his mom is cold to me. she's friendly, but she seems warmer to our other friends. i know this is normal, and it could also partly that she's just not a very warm person, but what can i do to make her like me?!

Be thankful she talks to you!

My first boyfriend's mother snooped through my purse and snatched my diary while I was downstairs.  She then read every juicy detail of her son's and my relationship.  Talk about hatred!  This woman might've hired a hit-man if her son didn't dump me a month later.

It's hard on mothers to see their sons date.  Try and be as friendly as possible.  Maybe she'll warm up to you.

I've had a similar experience with my fiance's mom.  Now her and I are good friends.

it sucks i am in the exact same position. except i'm eighteen, but i've been dating my boyfriend for exactly that long. I do not know exactly what to do either, i just try to be friendly even when she isn't. You know strike up a conversation find out from your boyfriend what her interests are and talk about them if you know something about them. Good luck!!!

sometimes i think it's competitive.  my mother in law and i have our ups and downs too, only because she gets mad if we don't come out there every weekend.  i just try to be as nice as i can and hope she comes around.  another thing may be that she doesn't think her son is old enough to have a relationship that serious.  just keep your head up and be yourself!  it will work itself out.
