I know this question was asked beofre, but the answers that person recieved was c**p. (mumbo jumbo)...

I'm asking this question again since this guy has the same effect as my brain. It only hurts sometimes...when I move me head really fast or hitting a baseball with a b bat....Something like that. Or maybe when I serve in tennis. It doesn't always happen, but sometimes it's just comes out of no where. It feels like a knife stabbed my lower right side of my brain next to the spinal cord. It only last a few seconds (4 secs...), and neveroccurs unless I move my head really fast. Please don't reply for me to go to the doctor. I alreaedy thought of it, and I dont want to. I know I should but I'm not going to. Perhaps I need acupuncture.

Below: this is someone else description that matches mine....

Whenever i move my head sometimes I feel this pain, like a knife stabbing my brain in the right back bottom area of the head. It hurts so bad that i always put my hands over the area automatically with no control like i'm protecting it even though a knife isn't stabbing my brain. What is this suppose to be?

  1. Your brain cant hurt.

You cant expect us to diagnose your problem. Only a doctor can do that.

It sounds very serious. You got to check it out with a doctor.

  2. it sounds like you might have high blood pressure

  3. Well, it isn't your brain.  You have no nerve endings in your grey matter, so even if there were a knife in there you wouldn't feel it.

"Lower right side next to spinal cord" makes me suspect a pinched nerve, which can be excruciating, but isn't dangerous.  If this is in fact the case, it's supposed to go away on its own, or you can have a chiropractor take care of it.  A worthwhile chiropractor also often knows when to send you to an MD, so I think that's your best bet.

It could of course be something else entirely, especially as it's going away after just four seconds.  Pinched nerves tend to make their presence felt much longer!

    Also, give up headbanging.

How long has this gone on?  Have you had any trauma to the area?  Has anything changed, like sleeping on a different bed?
