My brand new refrigerator is locked when it is in the unlocked position. I leave it unlocked at all times, but unpredictably when I try to open it, I am locked out. I then lock it (feel the snap of the button)[it was in the unlock position] and unlock it (feel the snap of the button)and wait a few second. That does not always work and the procedure is time consuming. Locked should be locked and unlocked should be unlocked on a brand new appliance.
