Question:

My b*****s are painful all the time, any advice?

For the past couple of months my b*****s have become tender and painful especially around the armpit area, the left is worse than the right. I know 100% that I'm not pregnant, it's worst when I take my bra off at the end of the day but I haven't changed size so it's not due to a poor fitting bra.

They are sore and tender to the touch at the armpit side but there are no prominent lumps or anything.

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem and whether it's worth going to the doctors or not?

Thanks for any advice :)

  1. umm... it could be anything but if you have started puberty it might just be growing pains

  2. Ouch!  So are mine, but it's because I started taking Yasmin birth control.  Well, the generic Yasmin called Ocella rather.  do you take bc pills?  If so that could be your problem .

  3. I have also been experiencing the same symptoms, and I am not pregnant either. I can relate to what you are going through! Some women experience breast pain as a pms symptom, but if it hasn't subsided even after your period, then you should contact your doctor.

The reason you are experiencing armpit pain is because they are lymph nodes in that area of your body so they are more sensitive to the hormonal changes that are causing the breast pain.  If the one side is more painful than the other and they are no lumps, it is most likely because that breast is naturally larger than the other. Either way, I would contact your ob for a breast exam just to be safe--especially since it's been for a couple months. It could also be a hormonal imbalance that is occurring that should be checked.

To alleviate your pain, you can try vitamin e (400 mg) per day, primrose evening oil, anti inflammatory medicine, and hot and cold compresses. I have been using candula oil topically--which has been helpful.  Caffeine intake also increases breast pain and tenderness though no studies have actually proven this. I personally have not felt any relieve from the vitamin e and evening primose oil, but everyone's body is different so it might be worth a try. Either way, I would contact your doctor for a visit, just to be safe before treating yourself since it has been an ongoing problem.

    Good luck and Feel better!
