My british passport expires in october, can i still leave to go california, if i can why? ple hav sed i cant?

apparently you can only travel around europe when it comes to 3 months before you expiry date, besides this you cant go anywhere else, is this true!

You should have 6 months unexpired on your pass port . Best and cheapest way to renew is at the Post Office who will check your application for £7 plus renewal fee , send it off for you and you will get it back within 10 working days ( normally) .

it is very unlikely you will be able to travel with your current passport. you can apply for a passport and get it now, but it'll cost quite a bit.

you can travel 3 months before the end of your passport in Europe. America is likely to be stricter.
