My brother's just got drafted by NHL, will he start to get commercial endorsements in his first season? ?

Unless he's a super star in his first year or one of the players that make the puck bunnies wag their tails, then I highly doubt it.

I doubt it. He may next season though.

Only if he is already famous. (But it is Ice Hockey, so I doubt it.) Or if the team he was drafted by has a contract with anyone.

Unless he becomes a star or superstar he likely will never get big endorsements.  While unlikely in his first season (assuming he makes it into the NHL), some local businesses might hire him for some appearances and radio ads.  Not big buck endorsements, but a little extra money could be made.

Tell him congrats! But I seriously doubt he will be in commercials and ads and the like right away, like people already said that is reserved for the more well known players.

It depends how good he is, but probably not.  The only young players who really get major endorsements are people like Sidney Crosby and Dion Phaneuf, but they're superstars.
