  1. If he took a normal dosage both times, he'll probably be ok.

You can call the poison control center 1-800-222-1222 just to make sure.

  2. The medication you get over the counter and its suggested dose is intentionally much lower than the prescription dosage and even lower than the overdose. I have had cases of children swallowing whole bottles and being fine, even without charcoal and stomach pumping.

Advil, and most other pain killers and medications, are hard on the stomach and the liver so don't make a habit of this, and wait another 4 hours (11:30) before giving him another recomended dose.

Chew Out: Your little brother should not have access to his own medications. Until he is old enough to know that he needs to wait four hours, and responsible enough to wait, he should be given his medication in doses. All medication should be out of the reach of children at ALL TIMES.

  3. yes

  4. As long as he didn't take a massive amount (like way more than the recommended dose), he should be fine.

  5. If he took the prescribed dose and no more and only took it a couple of hours early..he will be fine. As long as he doesn't make a habit of it though because Advil can be harsh on the stomach. It may make him more sleepy than usual and possibly cause an upset stomach so he may want to eat something. (I dont know how old he is.) He will be fine though so don't worry.

  6. you might look up and call your local poison control center.. And ask them.. And ask your parents too for suggestions.

  7. Not to worry.
