My brother inlaw is going to russia whats going on?

yeah yell at me, I'm ignorant, all I do is work and clean; now there's this war in Russia, my brother inlaw is going there, he's US airforce. My sister inlaw is going to Iraq (get that). What sparked this whole deal in Russia? I went on CNN.com and it's all videos. I'm sorry to sound irgnorant but I obviously am right now. Someone clue me in here. Is my brother in law in for a fight like in Iraq? thanks for clueing me in

I don't think your brother in law can actually be going to Russia. There is no way the Russian would let USAF planes or personnel land in their territory (unless he's going as an air attache with a diplomatic mission).

Maybe he's just messing wit ya....

It could be possible that your brother in law is part of the humanitarian effort to bring aid into georgia from the united states. They are flying  most of it in.
