  1. Find your state here:

    http://answers.usa.gov/cgi-bin/gsa_ict.c...

if your state does not have a locater, call the prision.

  2. I live in Ohio and I know on the Ohio state prisons site there is a page where you can search inmates and it shows what city their in and stuff. Maybe there's one for your state too.

  3. Many inmates can be located using the internet, but it depends on your State, County, etc.  Some places do not provide public internet access to this information.  You just have to call the prison facility.

Inmates are frequently transferred from one facility to the next.  And it often takes days to for the public or family to find their actual location, as they are in the process of being moved.

If you wish to email me the specifics about your brother: name, date of birth, county, State and any prison number, I would be happy to assist.  If he is in Federal prison, please let me know, as well.

  4. check inmates.com are you in ohio

  5. Most states have an inmate locator on their websites.  Even  if its a local facility they are not closed tommorow.  Prisons are open 24/7.  The administrative offices may be closed but someone is always there.  They should have a Operations office or Traffic office to help you locate your brother.  Hope this is helpful.
