My brother is going to Afghanistan in November..?

He's in the marines and this will be his first deployment.. Can someone please let me know how dangerous it has been over there lately?

Afghanistan is from the very high risk countries, dangers are everywhere but as long as ur brother stick with the troop & the orders of his commanders he will be fine.

Let him look after him self & tell him to be proud that he is serving his country.

There is no danger as such as there is no war going on, yet civil commotion has dangerous proportions there. Pray for his safe return and safety during his tenure.

The death rate is way down compared to a few years ago. My father in laws been over there for over a year and my uncle in law has been there for months, and they both say it isnt all that bad anymore, chances are he'll be fine. And it also depends on his actual duty over there.

My nephew is gong back out there in a few weeks.His 4th time.

The danger is still the same.They are fighting a hidden enemy.Hopefully they will all be brought out of there soon.

It is dangerous over there, but not as dangerous as Iraq.  Just remember to keep in contact with him while he's over there and send him care packages every couple of weeks...they're greatly appreciated, and it's nice to get something from home.

It's not so dangerous now. There is not a war, just maintenance of what we have fixed over there.
