My brother is running a d.d campeign, banning all books but the PHB, is there a low lvl campaign killer?

my brother is running a d.d campaign, banning all books but the PHB, is there a low lvl campaign killer i can use (we hope to get him to let us use some of the other books this way =]

Not really, the PHB is a very basic book. I don't blame him for only limiting that book, PHB covers all rules a player needs to play, and if you read a few other books you can use out of game knowledge which is what he is trying to prevent most likely.

Just ask him why he is limiting it to that. As a fellow DM I know it's not easy to DM and he may just be trying to keep it simple to make it easier for himself!
