I'm not worried about him though he is schizophrenic and has an excuse, I'm worried about my boyfriend he is sane and 18.

AND SERIOUSLY WTF! If there is a draft I'm going to run away with my boyfriend.

  1. Bush is a huge fan of a volunteer-based military, and he stuck to his word with it. I can't tell you what McCain or Obama will do. A volunteer-based military is the best, because everyone wants to be there (theoretically).

I think everyone should have to sign up for it, women included.

  2. he will be drafted if there is a draft and a need!

  3. There is no Draft going on at the time

  4. Relax. All males have to register with the Selective Service. There is no draft.

  5. NO NO no no draft, it is just in case one would ever be needed, If he does not sign up he can lose his college aid, student loans

  6. You are rather idiotic.

  7. No.

    And..no.

  8. The United States requires all men who turn 18 to register for the Selective Service.  If he does not register, then he can face jail time and also will denied a lot of benefits throughout his life.  Once he's registered, the names sit in a huge database somewhere and no one anytime soon will be looking at them.  In the case that Congress enacts a draft, which is such a huge, far-fetched idea right now and would only be remotely plausible if someone attacked the US, then they select a month and a date.  Everyone on that day has to report.  They then randomly select months and days until they have enough people.  You have nothing to worry about, and you wouldn't have any place to run off to either.

  9. if your brother just turned 18 within the last few months then they send him the form so he can register in case there is a draft. as of right now there is not a draft and would take an act of congress to have one.

  10. Please get a life.  Every male has to sign up for selective service, there is no draft.

  11. There is no draft, and if you decided to run... where would you go?

Even more important, would you really want to make that kind of commitment to a man who would be willing to drop all his responsibilities and run anyway?
