My brother mows lawns and now all these bugs have shown up and i need to know if they are harmful?

the bug has 6 legs that are black it has intenas and a black head. a small black head. they are about half an inch long if that. the body is orangeish red with more of a red tint then orange they are solid red at first then they get these two black stripes that are right behind the head. when you step on them you can kill them. they reproduce fast. casue they have tripled in a week it seems.

no they are not i get them once and a while too its easy just tell him to shake off before coming in the house. not to use his every day shoes when he cuts lawns. and leave the ones he does use outside and as soon as he comes into the house he has to shower and then wash his clothes and the bugs should go away.
