He asked me to search online whats a good cruise for him. He is 21, and single. I dont know any sites to go to and look what deals they have and where they go. Can someone give me some sites and some information that they do on cruises. He might want to go to the Caribbean. When he pays is everything included like food and drinks and alcohol beverages. Thanks in advance. He is going on the cruise by himself..

  1. First off, there's way too many websites out there to list.  Search on "discount cruises" and start clicking.

First off, you'll need a lot of money.  There's the cost of the cruise.  Yes, food is included.  Alcohol is not.  You'll get a card (like a credit card) that he will use at the bar.  It's not cheap, I'll tell you that.  It's charged to your bill.  And you will settle your bill upon leaving.

There's plenty of things to do on the ship.  Most likely, he'll be hitting the bars.  When you port, the best thing to do is go shopping.  They usually port during the day, so there's probably going to be no bar scenes for him once ported.

Cruises are fun, but probably more fun with a travel companion.

  2. cruisecritic.com

  3. If you want everything to be included in one price then search for "all inclusive cruise".  In my opinion everything is much more relaxed that way because you don't have to carry money around or worry about how much stuff costs.

  4. He's going to be too young to cruise on some of the lines.

And, as a single, he'll actually be paying "double", as the cruise lines sell cabins "double occupancy" - you pay for two passengers, even if there's only one.

He should do some reading up on what's involved with cruising.  The library and/or bookstore have books on cruising.  He might be able to find some "singles cruises" by doing a search for that - otherwise, I don't think going on a random cruise would be all that much fun for a single person alone.

Try going to CruiseCritic.com.  Click on "Cruise Styles" and look for "singles" to see what they have to say about which lines are more suitable.

  5. No Cruise Line includes beverages..  All food is included  but you must pay for all your Soda's and Alcohol and this is done at the end of the cruise.  and its always cheaper to go with someone  Double occupancy rates are a lot less than going single.  he may want to get a buddy to go with him.

Is your Brother g*y?  He could go on a g*y Cruise.

  6. I don't know if I'd recommend a cruise for a single 21 year old.  He might get very, very, very bored.  Cruises tend to be dominated by seniors or families.

Why not a nice all inclusive resort instead?   It would be cheaper and there will likely be more people his age around.

  7. Carnival is the choice of most young people.  However, it is not as good as Royal Caribbean.  I recommend RC because everything is better (food, entertainment, accommodations, bars, casino, staff, etc)  and there will still be young people on the ship.
