Question:

My brother went to a chat site on my laptop, & the blue screen showed up. How do I resolve the problem?

It mentioned something about a hardware issue with the drivers & devices. Could a chat site cause this problem? & he used the Mozilla Firefox browser. I thought Firefox helps protect against computer viruses & stuff.

  1. Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This  problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes .     install kaspersky.com and scan your computer

  3. To help you I would need either the code from the BSOD or the actual dump file (.DMP) that was created.  You can find that file in:

    My Computer > C Drive > Windows > Minidump

    More then likely it's not a virus so I wouldn't sweat it.  Drivers are possible though.
