My brother woud like to know, what do you think of the names Jayden and Dylan ? ?

They are first names for a baby boy due in January.

He has decided that he doesn't want an old fashioned name that has started being used again. For example, Arthur and thankfully he has come to his senses and decided not to use any ridiculous, unheard of names.

P.S: Do you think it would be a good idea to keep the original spelling to save any confusion ? For example, Jayden rather then Jaedan.

Jayden isn't too bad. Not real big on Dylan. And yes, I'd keep it spelled with the Y.

I like Dylan. But I prefer the spelling 'Dillon.' It's the Scottish way of spelling it.

I don't like Jayden though.

Joshua Adam is nice. But I don't like Joshua Ryan.

what ever name you give your child remmber it has to grow up and go through school with that name. i think those names are fine but go with what your heart says. my nieces and nephews are called:

I don't like those names. Classic names seem like the best way to go to me, they'll never go out of style. Jayden and Dylan are already overused and out of style.

Jayden is a very nice boy name. They can use Jade as a nickname. It's  good to keep the original spelling or he might have problems with spelling confusion down the line. If your brother is set on changing the spelling, then why not? Just makes him more unique =)

It doesn't matter how you spell it, people always say spell it the regular way...but my name is Christine (i think it's normal) and people ALWAYS ask how to spell it!

Dylan:I love this name for a guy! Very masculine and s**y. It has a skater/surfer feel to it.I can't believe any girl has this name. It makes a really ugly girl name. I would rather be named Apple.

Jayden:This name is an absolute shocker. Corrupted from Jadon (jah-don) and the most pathetically boring and trashy choice. Probably why Ms Spears used it (and Sean was SO well named.) Why oh why Jayden?
