My brothers weird choice of names. What do you think ?

My brothers girlfriend is 17 weeks pregnant.

I am reading the list of names he has made and theye awful !

Well, the names aren't, but his choice of spelling them is.

The s*x of his kid hasn't even been confirmed yet, but he's got it into his head that it's going to be a boy.

Jaydan

Dillan

Kenzee

Aydan

Baylee

Need i go on. . .

So, what do you think ?

Personally, i think the way he has spelt them is terrible. Poor kid. Oh well, at least it's going to have great parents to make up for it's awful name.

Some of the names are cute, but you are right the spelling is terrible.  Especially if it's a boy...those names are unisex, but the way they are spelled, I would guess they are a girls name.  I think the best name is Aidan (spelled the way I spelled it)

i think those names are awsome no matter how you spell them and he could have spelled them worse such as

dilnn

canze

iydin

beyli

see how much worse they are a little unqice is ok

Well, as you say, it's ultimately good parenting that makes for a happy, well-adjusted child.

But I'd be lying if I said I liked any of these names!

What seems most problematic to me isn't even the daffy spellings of Jaydan, Dillan and Aydan but the fact that Kenzee and Baylee look like attempts to make a typically masculine moniker appropriate for a girl.

So while I think a kid might shrug off having to say, "Yes, I'm one of the billion Aiden/Jayden/Kaiden/Braydon/Haydins born in the early 21st century, allow me to spell my name," it would be far, far worse to know that being Baylee would make everyone who sees your name assume that you're a girl.  It's one thing to be a boy called Kelly or Shannon or even Lindsey - after all, they once *were* traditionally male names.  But to my eye, Kelli, Baylie, Rylee, etc. are always girls ... and burdensome to a son.

Oh well - make you can just call your nephew Slugger.  :)

Personaly i like the way aydan sounds....... i don't think that their that bad!! i mean unique names are the best to my opinion it makes you feel so much better by the time you a teen, i use to hate my name alott but now i loveeee it.........=] Good luck with the baby Names!!!!!!!! bye bye!

If it turns out to be a girl, i suggest these names:

2. Claire

3. Eloise ( if they like french names )

4. Baliee ( I like it better for a girl spelled this way )

Dillan is okay. Baylee is a girls name. Kenzee is a short nickname for McKenzie. Poor baby.

Kenzee is awful, but the rest aren't so bad.   Seriously, compared to some of the names that you hear on here...

At least there aren't any random apostrophes in the middle of the names.  I hate it when people do that.

They all look very girly. Kenzee doesn't even sound like a boy name at all.

Better spellings would be Jaden/Jayden, Dylan/Dillon, Aidan, or Bailey. Baylee looks especially girly.

Jayden is the name of Britney Spear's son. Dillan is ok but it reminds me of dill pickle because of the way it's spelled. Kenzee sounds like a girl. I'm not crazy about Ayden or Baylee because they are so over-used already.
