My budgie Sunny passed away recently ;[. But I still have another budgie, they were quite close and he still looks for Sunny. I'm afraid he might get depressed and die as well, what do I do?

  1. first of all, im sorry for your loss. losing a pet means you lost a family member. keep your head up and be happy! =] im sure that sunny is proud to have had a wonderfuly caring owner like you! =]

even though another budgie will never replace sunny, you should get another one to keep your current budgie happy. its like making a new friend to comfort you in a hard time! =]

  2. yes, i agree. get a new budgie(: he would no doubt, love his new companion :D

  3. Aww...Hang in there buddy....I'd normaly say...You cant replace a Family Member...But if you want to...You can buy another Budige that looks like  Sunny.

  4. Let him have some time on his own!! Then try getting him a friend just give him some time to get use to his new friend it might not work at first so dont rush him to get a new friend give him 1 or 2 weeks and get 1 young, lively and fun to be wiv!!!!!!!

  5. I'm sorry for your loss....

The same thing happened to me. I didn't get another companion but I did put a little mirror at the end of the surviving one perch (her name was Salty). Salty sat next to it ALL the time. She loved it. The budgie who died used to pick on her a bit so maybe she didn't mind that the other one was gone. I don't know, but Salty lived for a very long time with that mirror. She seemed like a very happy little bird. We kept her in the living room where she was always surrounded by the rest of the family, too. But if yours seems sad now, I think you should get another one.

  6. u find it another companeon and have a 3some with it.
