My budgie is puffed.?

My budgie is puffed up. his eyes look normal but he seems to sleep more then usuall. and doesnt play as much with his toys. He does eat like normal though. Also he spends a lot of time close to his mate. other that that he looks ok its just the puffyness. does neone have ne ideas. thanks

my budgies usually puff up in the winter to stay warm

some times they are trying to clean under its feathers try giving them more baths or spray them with a spray bottle

Play it safe and go to the vet. Take the other budgie just in case. Some times birds will just puff up to keep warm but there's no harm in going to the vet. It's good to get a check up anyway and you may regret it if your budgie gets worse. The sooner the better (and cheaper). Hope that helps

Birds always puff up. It's just their way of sleeping or staying warm. But they also do that sometimes when they are sick, but with so little information it's hard to tell.

Take them both to an avian vet.  The puffed one is very sick (you can tell because he's sick enough to show it), and even if his mate looks okay, she may also be infected with whatever he's got, but is still strong enough to hide it for now.
