My budgie!?

is two years old.

recently his feathers have become very untidey. his head has lots of pins on it and his primary wing feathers are droopy and dont fold in properly.

is this just a moult. i am particularly worried about his wing feathers drooping. does this happen?

no, this isnt moulting.. birds lose feathers regularly and their feathers look the same.

maybe he just needs a bath

Your bird needs a tonic!!!!

Try giving it some soaked sprouting seed.

Soak some of his seed with a little Niger added in warm-water over-night drain,rinse and place some where warm till it sprouts(2-3 days)then feed this to him A.S.A.P.

Also give him a little Spinach,if you can get any Dandelion Leaves or Seeding heads before they sprout give him these,

Willow twigs are also good if you can get them.

Make sure your bird has plenty of Cuttle-bone and a Mineral block.
