she was mated three weeks ago today, so i worked out that her kits would be due a week tomoz or there abouts. But two days ago, i went to feed her and i noticed that she had pulled alot of her tummy fluff out to make a nest for the kits. isnt it a bit early?? there not due for another week yet. soo is she going to have them early or something??

  1. She should know what she's doing, so wait and see.

  2. They sometimes begin to make their nests early. They follow their instincts so just make sure she has a good nesting box.

I hope you consider not mating her further and looking into responsible ways to find homes for her litter. Please consider spaying her as most people do not properly care for rabbits - breeding adds to the problem.

    Good luck with the litter.

  3. it means that she is making a nest for her babies, dont freak out, this is totally normal

  4. hello there

your rabbit is preparing for the babies.it's not early.it's just right.mother rabbits will usually just pull out hairs from her fur when about to give birht or during gestation period.she's making a nest.it's okay.not to worry..

good luck with the new borns!

  5. Its natural. My rabbit was completely bald on the underside. But dont breed or let your rabbits breed if you dont have a good reason.

  6. Yep shes due next week. Its completely normal for her to start 'bedding' for them a week before hand. In fact, with my own, they've never started bedding any later than that. It just means she is doing good so far! Good luck with your bunnies! =]
