  1. Sorry but word of mouth takes longer than a few months! it takes years, just keep going and if its looking good be happy. retired MD

  2. Guest on a local radio talk show

  3. Speak to your Chamber of Commerce and Industry; they can certainly give you a good advice.

  4. u dont state much about your buisness & where you live,  but trading / buisness is very tough at the moment with the econamy at the moment,  try & ride it out,  try abit of advertiseing / leafleting

  5. Do you have an advertising budget ? If so,  what percentage of your net revenue, per month  are you spending on advertising ?

How are you advertising ? What types of media ?

"Word of mouth " is only going to get you a very small amount of notice. Stopping indivuals on the street. to tell them about the business, is just about as effective, as word of mouth is .

Depending on exactly   what  type of business you  have, the medium that you  use can be very  effective.  Look at local flyers, or postering, both are cheap to do.

Does the busines have proper signs, if you  have a actual business  location ? Remember that " a business with no sign, is a sign of no business ".

  6. You're business is still in the "baby" stages. It takes a business at least a minimum of a year to see any good progress. "Word of mouth" is the best way to draw in more customers especially when you're a new and a small business. I know you're not seeing the progress you're wanting and want to have more customers. You just have to be patient. If you feel that your finances can handle advertising, then you should. Although advertising doesn't have to cost an arm or a leg. If you don't already have one, get a website up and running, make fliers, put your business cards in video stores, restaurants.

Like the gentleman that previously stated above, the economy is in bad shape and I'm quite certain all small businesses are effected by it. The key is just to be patient, and you'll see it progress more in the near future hopefully.

    Good luck.
