My cable box has no power. I try to turn it on manually and by the remote, but I get nothing.?

We've had heavy rains. Is there anything that I can do before calling Cox?

Look aound the house for the cable bill if it is more than 2 months past due.... run down and pay it!!!!!

Make sure the outlet where it's plugged in has power - you may have blown a fuse.  Plug a lamp or radio into the outlet and see if it works.

If the outlet is OK but the cable box still doesn't work, look for a fuse in the back of the box - it's possible there was a power surge that blew the fuse.

And if that doesn't work, then the problem is internal - call Cox.

try unplugging it for a few minutes then plug it back on..

what kind of cable do u have?
