My cacatail had a egg and it wont take care of it what do?

If you only have one cockatiel, the egg isnt  fertile anyway. She might not be taking care of it because she realizes  its not fertile as well. You could try to take it out, but just leave it for awhile if she is protective of  it and gets mean...mine did that.

Sometimes cockatiels will lay more eggs to replace the one you take out, so it might be best just to leave it in there, even if it's not fertilized and/or she's not sitting on it.

If it is fertilized and there isn't a nesting box for her to have peace and quiet, she still might not sit on it out in the open in the cage. A cockatiel's nesting box doesn't need any straw or anything to nest, just a bare box. You can get one at PetCo.

depends on if its fertile if its not she might know and not want it just throw it away if thats the case. if it is fertile get an incubator
