My cactus is soft at the bottom?

I have a cactus and it is very soft at the bottom and it was bending over. I picked it up and put it in the sun. Is there any way I can save it. The top is fine it is just 1cm of the bottom. Please help.

Have you been watering it too much? Remember that cactuses don't need much water. Hopefully it will firm up as it dries in the sun - good luck, and remember not to water it too much in the future!
