So I have a Kodak EasyShare M753 and I took it to the river/beach and sand got in the lens so when I turned it off the lens went in but now it wont come back out when I turn it on!!!!!

It says

"Lens error: 122, 1, 0,0 "

When I turn it on, so my parents think that it probably says how to fix it in the booklet,

But I can't find the booklet!?

Please help!?!

  1. Nothing in any user manual will directly help you with sand, except maybe the number for repairs.

Try knocking a corner of the camera softly against a hard surface to see if you can shake it free. Sand has clogged the fragile telescopic lens system and it's hard to get rid of.

If you send it in, you'll be paying for the cleaning. Neglect is not covered by the warranty.

  2. See if where you bought your camera can fish out an extra booklet.

You may want to go to a shop that specializes in camera's and tell them your situation.

They may be able to fix it.
