Question:

My camera is frozen. I can see the pictures but, what's wrong with it?

The camera was working fine until it dropped to the edge of my pool and clattered to the 5-foot deep water. It's an Olympus Stylus 1030 SW--meaning it's 6.6 feet shock proof and water proof. We tried getting it out but it fell once more. We turn it on and it repeats a weird sound. It freezes the image and won't take pictures although you can see the other pictures we took before. Is it dead? Is there a way to save it? We took the memory card and the battery out and put it back in but the results were the same. Thanks.

  1. Is the camera still within the warranty period?  If yes, I would bring it back to Olympus as they claim this camera is shock proof 6.6 ft and water proof 33 ft.
