My camera says the memory card is locked.?

But it's not the switch on the side. What else can it be? I have a Canon Powershot A550 with a SanDisk SD card. Please Help.

Either the camera is not detecting that you slid the switch on the side of the card, or you need to format the card in the camera. If you let your computer format the card, the camera wont recognize it properly. A format will erase all pictures off the card so upload all pics to the computer first if you have any.

If you take out the memory card and look at it... it has a little button on the side.... slide it over.... and then slap it back in the camera and that should take care of the problem.
