My camera will only record 2 gigs of video on my 8 gig SDHC card?

the card is a transend 8 gig SDHC class 6 card, the camera is a Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS.

if it is reserving it for pics is there any way to change the amount of space for vids

  1. there are compatibility issues on use of memory card... older cameras may not properly handle high capacity (HC), high-speed cards and if used would playback weird results. So check on these limits w/ manufacturer's specifications.

  2. I think Tiddivisual is right, but the camera's spec talks about recording 30 mins of "continuous" video - is 2 Gbyte the limit for all your video or just one clip?

  3. Consult your manual!! There is a whole section devoted to your answer!! If you don't have one, you should be able to download one from the Kodak support site.
