Question:

My canary has a black spot on one leg? She keeps it up and hops on good leg.Spot was not there yesterday.help

She does not have any drainage from her eyes and she looks healthy and acts normal. She just spends the day on the bottom to rest on both legs or on a perch on one leg.

  1. Better safe than sorry take to vet for look at it.  


  2. it could just be a bruise, or she could have gotten it stuck in the bars, and tried to fly off or something, and broken it, you might want to take her to the vet

  3. I found this in an article about symptoms for a sick canary. The fact that she spends the day on the bottom says that there is something you need to be worried about. You need to take her to a vet ASAP.
