My car's CD player says "No Disc" when I put a CD in, then ejects it?

I figured the read lens was just dirty, so I bought a lens cleaner CD. But when I put it in, it said "No Disc" and ejected it.

How are those CDs supposed to work in this situation? What is the problem with my CD player, and how can I fix it?

  1. Mine does this too. Its because I found out my son stuck about 3 coins in it. Still can't get them out.  Ugh....anyway I imagine you have something foreign stuck in it. Good luck

  2. The CD player in my car won't play CD's i burn off the computer.

  3. Chances are the laser reader has failed. It's fixable. You need to take the unit out and have a repair shop fix it. A lot of people just put in aftermarket units, but I always like the original units myself.

  4. certain mp3s just don't read on a car cd player. you'd have to update your player.

  5. Is this a CD that you burned music on to? If so, put the CD in your CD rom drive on your computer to make sure there is actually stuff on it, then make sure it is a CD and not a DVD. It should say on the disc itself. I know I have used the wrong disc to burn CDs. That is my easy fix, other than that, I can't help much.
