  1. two differant parts of the blub.. most are two way... so you either need new blubs or you have another problem.... are cheap and easy to check and replace.... about 2 bucks you can get about anywheres

  2. those are two completely different lighting circuits and bulbs or filaments. Could be a few things start by checking the bulbs, then fuses, then brake light switch.

  3. Check the bulbs and the fuse. If the dash lights are out also,it's probably the fuse; they share a common circuit on many cars.

  4. Could be a bad brake light switch, worn out. Don't know where it would be, but think about it-every time someone has hit the brake pedal, it activates a switch to make the rear lights work.

On the flip side, it could be a pair of partly burned out tail light bulbs, which are cheap. I'd replace all the bulbs in the tail lights first. Plus, if one isn't working, I always replace both. means the other one will go out soon.

  5. if you look at a car's light bulb, you'll notice they have not one filament like regular bulbs, but they have two filaments. one filament is for the parking light, the other filament is for the brake light. so probably one of the filaments in the bulb are broken so you just need to change the bulb.

and if nothing else is wrong cause you didn't say anything else was wrong, then it is the bulb for sure.

  6.   Brake lights and parking lights are on different circits.Check the turn signals if they don't work its probibly a fuse.Good luck
