My car's wheel needs to be aligned. Can I still drive it?

I was breaking to avoid an accident on the freeway and my front left wheel hit a pot-hole. the wheel is now not aligned (I think, I'm not sure whats wrong) with the rest and keeps making a low banging noise with every rotation. Can I still drive the car till when i can have it fixed?

Might I be wrong about the wheel needing to be aligned? aka what's really wrong?

  1. If your alignment is off u can still drive it but it'll really wear on your tires.

  2. the alignment is the least of your troubles. the problem might be the bearings or in the steering rods themselves. have the car check ASAP to avoid further damage or even injury.

  3. i wouldn't you mite have a bent rim? or front end damage.

  4. sure, you still can drive your car. i bet there,s several cars on the road that need alignment. the only thing is, if it,s out too far, it will eat up your tires. a banging noise could be a bent rim.
