My car CD player reads error with any CD.?

I have a 1999 Nissan Sentra. I would like to know if is something simple that I can try to fix myself. I dont want to take the car to a place that charge me for nothing.

Sometimes if you play a copy of a cd (not the orignal one that you would buy), it may not be formatted correctly. Otherwise, get a CD cleaner. Should fix it.

get a cd player cleaning CD. it's probably gucky inside =)
