My car alarm wont turn off after unlocking car?

As soon as you unlock the car the alarm sounds and doesnt shut off until you lock the car again. is there any way to stop this...ie fuse for horn or disable alarm? it is a factory alarm

Wow, that's a tough one.  Usually putting the key in the ignition turns off the alarm.  What kind of car?  I'd be on the phone with a dealership's service department, they usually know all the tricks to turn off alarms.  Are you sure you're using the original factory key, or could it be a valet key?  Sometimes cars come with a valet key that will only work a few times before sounding the alarm.
