My car audio reciever (audio head unit) face plate has weird spots on the surface. how should i clean it?

It doesnt come off with water or soap. do you think its damage from the sun? or maybe soda spilled on it?

  1. YOU CAN PUT SOME RUBBING ALCOHOL ON A SOFT RAG AND WIPE IT ,BUT JUST LIGHTY DAMPEN THE RAG.
