My car cd player keeps turning on and off...?

Question

whenever I push the audio button or insert a cd it will turn on and off and sometimes wont eject the cd. I have no clue whats going on with it but its a pioneer DEH-1500, any ideas?

Check your ground wire that goes to the cd player. Often times a poor ground will cause that. The ground wire is the black wire. If it connects to metal, make sure that it as a direct contact with the metal. Scrape off paint, grease or dirt that is between the ground wire nut and the metal.

It is an old headunit so it can just go bad but if I were you I would check the wiring, but like I said it could have just worn out good luck
