  1. Sounds like a main fuse to me... Check your fusebox.

Even if something is draining the new battery. You would

      have gotten something....

Did anyone remove a main fuse on you?  A prank ?

  2. I wish you would had said what kind of vehicle you have. You need to start at the battery and make sure that the battery cable's are tight , then follow the hot (red ) cable down to the starter ,making sure that it is tight and that you have fire down to the starter..By the way make sure your getting fire into your fues box.Use a test light to do this . If you have fire to the starter and at the fuse box .If all of that turns out okay, then you need to start checking your ignition control moduleto see if it 's good .

  3. If all what you have said is correct  and there is no light in the dash board that turns on and the horn is dead as well when you turn the keys in the ignition/starting switch then the problem is with the key switch that does not make the connection as you turn your key to the on position, this can happen in a ten year old car. Also check the battery cables for any break down. Other wise make sure the car is in the parked or neutral position by checking the drive stick and not in reverse and or drive mode.

  4. Check the alternator. If that is defective it's going to drain your battery dry really fast.

Also check the terminal cables and make sure there is complete contact with the battery.

  5. did you hook up your battery correctly? did you buy a new battery or get a used on. and also check your battery voltage. it is possible from time to time to get bad parts new.

  6. Check  the battery cables.

  7. Do some simple tests:

    1) Turn the key in the ignition

if you have any lights show up on the dashboard your battery is working

    2) try to start the engine

does it try to start and simply fail? slowly die? if so that is the battery problem

    3) check the battery cables (go to your local garage) and have someone look at them

this could be an engine problem or the engine starter simply died. might not be the battery at all
