  1. Sorry but bmac seems to have overlooked the fact that you said it rumbles and shakes. It is likely a dead cylinder caused by a fouled spark plug, bad plug wire or numerous other things. It can be hard to figure these things out if you don't know a lot about how car engine systems work. Take it to a trusty mechanic or friend.

  2. check engine light on? could be several issues.....clogged throttle body, partially collapsed (or fully) cat. converter....not getting enough fuel (pump, filter, fuel injector, etc). is it skipping, hesitating: ignition system: plugs, wires, coil).

prob. up a hill points toward pump issue even as simple as low fuel.

Well u have a rumble and shake at idle when started...that's not a trans issue. no skipping or bucking.  Seems to be a power issue.  I would do a compression check on the cylinders to make sure they are within specs. Also, make sure the cat. isnt collapsed (u can barely get out of your own way with a blocked cat.

and, uh, cam....an ignition issue includes cylinders. lol.
