  1. First you need to find the rodent. The rodent is the source of the smell. Try looking under the carpet in the trunk, where the spare tire is stored. Also, check under and behind seats, especially the seat in the back. You may have to remove the rear seat. More likely the rodent is in the rear half of the car.

Once you find and get rid of the rodent, you have to sanitize the area where the rodent was. I'm guessing the rodent is in a carpeted area in the vehicle. First spray some Lysol and let it sit for a few minutes. Then takes some carpet cleaner and scrub the area. Then create a mixture of warm soapy water and scrub the area with the mixture, allowing it to dry afterwards. After the area is dry, sprinkle some baking soda to help deodorize the area and leave it there for a few days. Hopefully the smell will disappear.

  2. You'll just need to find the animal and get it out of the car.  It will take a while for the smell to go away even after you remove it because odors stick to fibers, like upholstery and carpet.  You will probably want to have the car professionally detailed and the fabrics cleaned.

  3. dead fish should get rid of the smell

  4. Um you can't get rid of the smell without getting rid of the animal. It's just going to continue to decompose slowly and smell very rank.

You're going to have to find it, only then can you begin to try to de-oderize the car. It's probably not inside your car, try looking in the undercarriage, it might be stuck there somewhere.

  5. you won't get rid of the smell tell you get rid of the rodent (plus you don't want a rotting animal in your car) chances are if you cant find it you may need to remove the interior i.e. seats and examine the car piece by piece until  you find the thing then you just need to use cleaners to get rid of the smell as long as it hasn't  been in there long basic cleaners will do the job but if he has been in there for awhile you'll have a maget infestation on your hand and you may have to replace parts of your interior.

  6. awww how sweet.. Now find that sucker and dump him in the trash... try taking it to a auto shop and have them strip your carpet . or try doing it yourself. or remove your seats.  Then you'll have to thoroughly clean your car.

  7. You can't get rid of the smell until you locate the rodent. After you extract the offender, if the rodent was in you engine then just put dryer sheets under your car seats. If the rodent was in your actual car, like under a seat or something, then you first need to sanitize that area with Lysol and then put dryer sheets under your seats.

    *shivers*

  8. Find a bigger animal, like a badger or a walrus, that eats rodents. You may have to go to a zoo or buy one from an animal smuggler. Then keep it chained up in your garage with a bowl of lemon soda and some rotting deer carcasses just out of reach, for probably a week. This will make the badger (or walrus) really hungry and probably pretty angry.

Then remove the deer carcasses and bury them in a nearby field.

Then pull the car around and open a door, the rear one if it's a hatchback. Unleash the badger (or walrus) and dive behind something metal, like a dumpster if you have one.

The badger (or walrus) will run right for the car, where it will smell the horrible rotting rodent. Here is the important part: CLOSE THE DOOR BEHIND THE BADGER OR WALRUS. When it is finished with the rodent it will still be hungry because really a rodent isn't very filling, and if you don't shut the door it will smell you because to him you are food.

Then wait a few weeks for the ferocious animal to die inside your car. Unlike with the rodent, you will have no trouble finding the dead badger or walrus. Simply bury it in the field next to the deer carcasses. Problem solved!

  9. Car wash. SHould get rid of the rodent/smell.
