My car hit by uninsured motorist and my car was to old to get collision insurance. How do I get compensated?

The violator is an illegal immigrant so although he will have to appear in court, he doesn't exist. He didn't have a Driver Lis. and provided false insurance information to the police officer that took the report. Can I claim compensation for damages from the state? Claim it as a loss on my tax returns? My insurance already said that I will receive nothing from them considering that my car was too old to have collision insurance on it.

Unfortunately, unless the courts make him pay you back, you wont get anything in the way of compensation. I know it is unfair, but that is a chance you take when you go out on the roads.

Because he is illegal does not prevent you from suing him.  Sue the SOB and make him either pay or go back to whence he came.
