My car insurance is 5000 dollars?

I'm a 17 male and just got my license here in texas. I forgot which insurance company it is, but my yearly insurance fee is 5000 dollars, and thats a around 400 a month. I dont have my own vehicle and I'm sharing cars with my family. Is this normal to have that of an expensive plan?? Or should we shop around more for better prices?

youre in the highest bracket but if you have no accidents or tickets

you should shop around.

that sounds like a 17 with a sportscar with an 8 cylinder

Shop around because your paying over $3000.00 a year to much.

My 17 year old GranDaughter has been added to my Daughters policey and it's only like $1900.00 a year.

I cant hardly belive the $5000.00 cost,your getting riped off big time.

well im about to get my license here in texas too and when my mom went to go and see how much it would costs to put the insurance on my future car and they said it would only costs $100 dollars more than what she is already paying, which is only $40 currently. So I guess to me, that is really expensive.

High dollar car = high dollar insurance

But for the most part yea you should look around.
