Try going to a car auction. Some of them sell cars for under $1,000.

Or you can always look on craigslist or ebay.

just search around until you find what you want. some people don,t advertise, they just park them in the yard and throw a 4 sale sign in the window.

Look through the classified ads.  If you can buy outright you cut out the middle man (dealerships).  Good luck!
