My car is approaching 100,000

Question

and i plan to do the works to it... please tell me what else is essential to do at this time. i want to go ahead and do everything at once. i really don't want to risk anything happening, although nothing is ever for sure. please add to my list what else you think should be serviced/replace

i am doing:

OIL/FILTER CHANGE

TRANSMISSION OIL/FILTER CHANGE

PCV VALVE

SERPENTINE BELT

SPARKS AND PLUGS

RADIATOR COOLANT FLUSH

CHANGING OUT BRAKE AND POWER STEERING

REPLACING AIR FILTER

WINDSHIELD WIPERS

IGNITION COIL AND O-RING GASKET

and i just recently did a fuel injector cleaning and had my battery replaced.

subtract the power steering, the ignition coil and gasket - service to those isnt necessary unless there is a problem. Add EGR Valve service.

Remove the radiator cap very carefully, then drive a new car under the cap and that should take care of things for another 150,000 miles or more (:-))

Preventive maintence is all good,,,, but if it aint broke ? Don't mess with it !!!     Alot of people spend way to much money on repairs that are not required !!!  Just trying to save you some money !  Oil change is the most important !!    You can do all those repairs and still have problems.....  So wait till they really need to be performed !!   Good luck !!

your owner's manual has a list of suggested maintenance. When was the last time you did anything ? Doing maintenance too often just wastes money, doesn't make the car last longer.  

if you changed the belt at 60 why change it at 100 ?

Are the wipers worn out ?



If the wipers are worn out, replace those TODAY. easy to do.  

Yes you definately need a belt, presuming you have a belt & not a chain. check the manual.
