Question:

My car is bouncing. What could it be?

Could it be a wheel alignment or the shocks? Or maybe tires, but I think the tires are ok. It only bounces when I am driving. And it does not shake, it just sounds like it is bouncing a little bit, like it sounds like a flat tire, but I am sure its not.

  1. You drive over a lot of bumps.

  2. it could be springs take it to Les Schwab they can check it for you no charge and tell you what it most likely is

better than guesses from ppl that cant even see the vehicle

  3. go to your local petrol station and just put your car's psi in to check see if their full or it could be your suspension

  4. Check the tires for a bulge as it will cause the problem your talking about>

  5. "It only bounces when I am driving."  But not when anyone else is driving?  That's strange...how much do you weigh?

  6. has your car sat for awhile? it might be flat spots on the tires.. or mabey one of the belts broke, check and see if theres like a ball like thing on the tire or anything:P hope this helps

  7. Shocks are blown out

  8. im a 15 year tech 4. in my experience you should have the struts and/or shocks check. i live in pa, so i know how bad potholes can break down a cars surspension. as a quick check, go to each corner of the car and one by one, bounce the car up and down a couple of times. listen for any nosies. after you stop boucning the car, the car should continue to bounce no more then 3 times, anymore then that is a really good sign that replacement of surspension parts is needed.if you have a sears auto center near by, take it to them and they can check it out at no charge to you.
