  1. chances are it will fail because of the extent of damage.

it will fail if it has a sharp edge that may catch on someone/thing.

it will fail if it affects the beam pattern when checked on the beam setter

  2. No it will not pass.

  3. nope its a fail..not only will it damage the silver mirror finnish but its classed as dangerous as the glass/plastic could cut someone...

  4. automatic fail. "take the headlamp out." what a pillock.

  5. you could try putting some clear silicone over the hole to stop water getting in to the head light ,if it does not interfier with the lighting pattern when it goes for mot .

    good luck h

  6. Hayseed is right, if the damage does not interfere with the pattern of the light it should not fail, however the silvering will be destroyed very quickly if the hole is unplugged, so as suggested put some silicone over the hole. If however the damage is to the light pattern then you will fail.

  7. yes it will pass. just take out the headlight so they cant see the hole.

  8. sorry it should fail.

  9. if it is deemed as dangerous or altered the beam pattern then it will fail.

  10. no it will not i had to get a newheadlight for my car i hope this help

  11. Fail! Don't waste your money on a MOT till you've got a replacement light unit. Try a breakers.

  12. you mean will it pass inspection? it should. i,ll tell you what i did on my headlight. i have a small hole in 1 of my lights and i took clear silicone and filled the hole to keep water out of it.
