  1. WHat type of car?

  2. You're certainly leaking the oil, sometimes the leak won't show up until the engine is running, such as the case when a crank seal is leaking. Other parts of the engine could be leaking too. Valve cover gasket, oil filter, oil drain plug, cam seal, so on. Try a thicker oil to see if it helps slow the leak.

  3. you didnt say how much oil you are going throu. on a high mileage car, using a quart in 1000 miles isnt that unusual. you have no puddles under car at all? no oil blown around under car, and no oil film on the bumper, trunck, etc? if the case you are burning it. valve seals,(will burn blue at start up) rings(blue all the time) or  pcv,

  4. if you have no leaks it will be rings or valve seals

  5. leak or burning it either way woreout something and yes 160 a day is a lot
