My car keeps saying check engine soon?

what is wrong with the car and what does that mean

First is the check the Vehicles owners manual. Second is to pull a code, to see f you  have a hard code, even have left the fuel cap off when the vehicle has been started will caused this problem, Example Evap Leak Code.

That's because something is keep triggering it.  Get the engine code scanned at autozone (free).

If it keeps saying check engine soon than your suppose to do the obvious. HAVE YOUR ENGINE CHECKED OUT BY A AUTHORIZED DEALER!

Does it blink for a few seconds after the car has started or is it a solid light?

On some cars, like mine, the light blinks for scheduled service and usually doesn't mean something is wrong. I do most of my own maintenance so I just reset it and it doesn't come till the next several thousand miles (I think 7,500 miles).

If you're not comfortable or unsure , it's always best to have it looked at by a pro.

and have you check anything or have you ask someone to cehck it not so hard too stop at any shop and ask to have them check it

A check engine light means something is wrong with an engine management system and has produced a fault code. All engine management systems work off an electrical pulse that is sent to the computer. When a sensor falls below certain parameters, the computer registers it as faulty and turns on the check engine light.

Go to Auto zone and ask them to put a scan tool on it. The scan tool will tell exactly what failed. When the problem is corrected the engine light will go out.

you  need  to  have  it  check  before  it  breaks  down  on  you  ,....  It  lights  up  on  you  so  you  be  aware  that   there  is  something  is  wrong   with  the   car  and  it  could  happen  any  minute  now
